WOW! That’s what the mirror said! Haha. Today we had a huuuuuuuge meeting. You will find out in a little bit. I’m so excited for it! It was amazing. But the most amazing thing about it, was how it made me realise that I miss UK and British people so much. Especially their work ethic. They are so straight forward and well read. I absolutely love them. Because they have that business mindset to everything they do. I’m not criticising Sweden, but we just don’t have it. And after days like these, I get both excited, but also realistic, because the reality hits me. I have been working my entire career abroad. And I haven’t really understood it before. But today I understood it was for a reason. I was born and raised abroad and I have spent all my time, except for my university years, abroad. And as soon as I graduated, I left to work at Nike in Amsterdam. And then London. Then LA. And now Sweden. There is nothing wrong with Sweden pursay. BUT we don’t know how to work. 8-17 is a standard. And we never go the extra mile. And we loooooove meetings. I hate meetings. You don’t need an hour to discuss things in order to come to a conclusion. At least that’s not what I believe. I believe that if you come prepared to a meeting, have your notes and questions down, it can take up to maximum of 15 minutes if needed. And I think I get that mentality from growing up and working abroad. They are so good at making quick and big decisions. I think we all can if we come prepared and well read. Well, today it reminded me of the reason and it has got me thinking. If I can’t move abroad the upcoming years- how can I create an international mentality where I work?
